2015 Ford Interceptor

Some paperwork identifies this vehicle as a Ford Explorer.

Maintenance records indicate transmission concerns. During reverse-driving drills, the vehicle lost power. After shutting the vehicle off and restarting it, technicians reported loud engine noise and high RPMs. The engine would rev excessively but lacked power during driving.

Inspection found the PCV line disconnected. The line was reconnected and the system was reset. During a road test, technicians observed very poor shifting from 1st to 2nd gear, which would occasionally result in the transmission locking into 4th gear. Transmission fluid level was verified to be acceptable, and no relevant diagnostic trouble codes were present at the time of inspection. Maintenance staff recommended transmission replacement.

Additional Notes:

  • Vehicle does drive.
  • Engine runs rough.
  • Needs two new front tires.
  • Maintenance records included.

Vehicle is being sold as-is with no warranties expressed or implied. Buyers are encouraged to inspect the vehicle prior to bidding.

NAU is currently operating on summer hours. Pickup/viewing availability is Monday–Thursday, 7:30am–5:00pm.

*A.R.S. § 42-5061(A)(28)(a) provides an exemption from state TPT and county excise tax for sales of motor vehicles to nonresidents from states that do not provide a credit for taxes paid in Arizona. This Arizona TPT exemption prevents the nonresident purchaser from having to pay tax in both states. *
