Lake Chinook Fire and Rescue is surplussing a 1973 GMC Detroit 8V 71 3000 gallon water tender VIN TDH 92A570211. It is a PTO driven pump. Someone pulled the kill switch, but it starts and ran when parked. Now it "runs away" when started. Possible the fuel pump governor needs replaced or the injectors are stuck open? Or could be something else entirely? It also needs a U-Joint for PTO Pump shaft. The driver door is stuck locked, but the passenger’s opens. Keys are lost, but do have title. With portable air to the system the tender can be dragged up on to a lowboy or other trailer.

Lake Chinook Fire and Rescue is located 30 minutes west of Madras, OR in a rural area of Central Oregon. The main road in and out is too windy and narrow for removal of the tender via semi and lowboy or other trailer. However there is a secondary road which is mostly all gravel, windy and narrow in spots, but is used by fire agencies, county, and others to haul equipment such as dozers, graders, etc.. which is the preferred route to remove the tender.
