EQUIPMENT Disassembling, packing, and removal of equipment must be completed by a date determined by the Seller.

The Houston Independent School District will be closed for Thanksgiving break from November 24, 2025, until November 28, 2025. We will resume our operating hours on December 1, 2025, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Auction start date: 11/21/2025.
Auction end date (bid closing): 12/03/2025.

Bidding and payment instructions.
To initiate the bidding process, the Bidder (Buyer) must qualify within our system. This qualification requires the Bidder to register and log in, then notify the Auction contact of the information they would like to bid on. If assistance is needed, please contact the Public Surplus chat line.
ACH (direct deposit), cash, checks, or money order payments to the Houston Independent School District (HISD) will not be accepted.
Electronic wire and credit cards will be accepted ONLY.
The Bidder will be responsible for the wire transfer fee, credit card fee, and any bank charges/fees to send the payment amount to us. Charges/fees will not be refunded.
Payment verification.
Awarded Bidder (Buyer) must bring/provide the "Paid Receipt" and personal identification (Driver's License, Passport, DBA-documentation (establishing the proof of the company), authorization for the person (designee to complete the purchase) by the company, duly notarized at 228 McCarty Dr., Bldg. 29, Houston, TX. 77029, for verification. The wire status must be cleared to a balance of "0" by December 10, 2025, at 5:00 PM Central Time. Once Payment verification is done, the Buyer can schedule an appointment to collect/remove the property awarded.
If a Third party, other than the winning Bidder, is removing/picking up the property awarded, Buyer MUST provide an additional notarized "Authorization Form" (blank form will be provided by the online Auction Coordinator) with proof of identification (Driver's License or Passport). The Third party must provide the completed "Authorization Form" along with a Driver's License or Passport (from the designee) for identification purposes, prior to collecting or removing property awarded. For payment verification, please contact the Online Auction Coordinator.
Auction due date for payment completion: December 10, 2025, 5:00 PM Central Time.
HISD will not be able to provide assistance or equipment for the removal or pickup of items awarded. The Buyer will be responsible for bringing the necessary personnel to disassemble specialized equipment. In addition to the Total Invoice price, the Buyer will be responsible for covering the cost(s) or fees for any required equipment rental and disassembling services from mechanics, technicians, or towing services.
1. Equipment/items are for sale AS IS/WHERE IS and are inspected by the buyer to their satisfaction during viewing.
2. Once the auction is closed, the full and complete amount of payment must be submitted before the due date.
3. Removal of equipment will be completed ONLY by appointment (no exceptions). Pick-ups must be scheduled during business hours (Monday - Friday from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM Central Time).
4. All property awarded and NOT removed/picked up by December 18, 2025, 2:00 PM Central Time. Appointments for pick-up can be made via email with Zaricka Prater, Online Auction Coordinator, Monday through Friday only, no exceptions (no refunds will be allowed, at all).
5. All maintenance or repair work, of any type, must be outside of district property.
6. Equipment invoice/maintenance/history records will be provided on an availability basis only.
Buyer Responsibilities:
· Buyer(s) will be responsible for draining any fluids.

"Buyer cannot rely strictly on photos to determine quantity or exact items being sold. Some photos are used to provide entrance and exit points for the removal of auction items. The responsibility to determine the condition of the property rests with the Bidder. Prospective Bidders are encouraged to inspect the item before bidding and place bids based solely on their personal inspection and evaluation. We (Seller) should not be considered experts on the items listed for auction. We (Seller) receive these items from multiple sources and are not responsible or accountable for the condition in which we (Seller) receive them. DO NOT bid if you are unsure of the quality of the item being offered. Your bid is your contract to purchase. Management reserves the right to block/ban customers who abandon property, refuse to pay for the equipment/item, and exhibit disrespectful behavior during the bidding or purchasing process. After the auction is closed, buyers are not allowed to change their addresses.

State Tax:
HISD will collect sales tax, currently 8.25% (as per Texas State law) on non-vehicles if applicable, unless the buyer provides a valid tax-exempt certificate prior to payment.
Buyers Premium
A 9.75% Buyers Premium will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction to collect payment.
Successful bidders are responsible for loading and removal of any and all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Under no circumstances will HISD assume responsibility for packing, loading or shipping.
