Tacoma Public Schools is auctioning a lot of 1400 Dell Latitude 3190 2-in-1 Laptops. These laptops are packaged on five total pallets. Each pallet contains 280 Laptops and 280 power cords. For shipping purposes, weights and dimensions are listed below.
 
Included as a part of this auction are the following:
 
1400 - Dell Latitude 3190 2-in-1 Laptops
1400 - Power cords
 
All of the laptops have been wiped to U.S. Department of Defense specifications, and none currently have an operating system installed. 

All items included with this auction have been visually inspected for structural defects by a third party source. None of the items have been tested for proper function, and all are being sold "as-is". There are no guarantees of proper function (implied or otherwise), completeness, suitability for use, or condition.

Model and quantities were provided and documented by a 3rd party entity. A comprehensive sheet detailing the contents of each pallet (including model and serial numbers for each unit) is provided by said source. Please see pdf attachment for details on every device included with this auction.

Any item not listed in this auction's description, but appearing in the background of any image is not included as a part of this auction. Only pallets marked with a green tag in the photos are included with this auction.

A random spot check for device specifications was not, and will not performed on these units. To the best of our knowledge, these are base model units.  Please consult the manufacturer's website for general information pertaining to specifications of these units using the serial numbers in the attached spreadsheet.

**Important Notes Regarding Tacoma Public Schools Auctions**

All auctions are sold “as-is” with no written, expressed, or implied warranty nor other guarantees to condition, completeness, suitability for use, or functionality. Tacoma Public Schools will make every reasonable attempt to describe all auctions items accurately and with as much detail as possible. However, please note that the listing agents do not have first-hand experience with the items. All prospective buyers are encouraged to ask questions which will be answered to the best of our abilities. It is highly recommended that any prospective buyer inspects the auction personally before bidding. All sales are final, and no refunds or exchanges will be honored under any circumstance.

 

Preview and pickup are by appointment only. Walk-in inspections or pickups will not be honored regardless of circumstance. Please call 253-571-3393 to arrange a meeting time. Pickup and preview appointments are only scheduled from 7:00am until 2:30 pm Monday-Friday. (7:00am until 3:30pm Monday-Thursday June 15th through August 31st). Auctions unavailable for inspection will be clearly labeled as such. Inquiries received within 24 hours of auction closing may not be answered before the auction closes.

 

Where applicable, pallets will be wrapped and prepared for transport. Unless otherwise noted, pickup location does have a loading dock. It is the sole responsibility of the buyer to move, load, and transport all auction items. Tacoma Public Schools does not provide shipping for any items. Partial pickups are not permitted or allowed, except under extraordinary circumstances at the sole discretion of an authorized Tacoma Public Schools representative. 

 

Special notes about “Dutch Auctions”. Please be advised that the Public Surplus buyers app does not currently support Dutch Auctions. To ensure you are able to enter a quantity, you must use a web browser to access this auction. Dutch Auctions will be clearly indicated in the auction listing, and no refunds will be honored in the case of confusion or error on buyer’s part. Tacoma Public Schools requires a valid driver’s license, a receipt (digital is fine) showing that the auction item(s) have been paid for, and the notice of award email from Public Surplus (digital is fine) in order to release an auction item(s). No exceptions to these requirements will be made under any circumstance. The winning bidder, or a person picking up the item(s) on your behalf must be 18 years of age or older. We are unable to release auction items to minors. 

If shipping is necessary, Tacoma Public Schools requires the following items to release the auction item(s) to shipping entity.

 

  • A Bill of Lading
  • An email from the winning buyer stating which trucking company will be picking up the auction item(s).
  • An email from the winning buyer with written permission for the trucking company to pick up the auction item(s) on the winning buyer’s behalf.
  • A dock time to pick up the auction item(s) within the specified time frame listed in terms and conditions (or within special timeframe if auction listing indicates pickup times may be restricted).
  • BOL provided by buyer must be filled out completely and marked as "Prepaid" or "Bill to Third Party". We will not release auctions if the provided BOL is marked as "Collect".

 

The expectation of each buyer is that all item(s) won will be removed from our facilities within the 10 business day of auction closing timeframe during one (1) pickup appointment. Tacoma Public Schools may at our sole discretion waive the single pickup appointment requirement on a case by case basis taking multiple factors into consideration such as but not limited to auction item, auction type, size, and weight.

Tacoma Public Schools does not provide shipping and will not be held liable for items that are lost or damaged during transport. Once the item(s) leave our facility, the trucking company hired by the buyer assumes all liability. Tacoma Public Schools is not responsible for freight charges of any kind, including charges for attempted pickups.

Inspection of Auction items by appointment only. It is highly recommended that any prospective buyer view the items before bidding. Tacoma Public Schools will make every reasonable attempt to describe listed items as accurately as possible.

Tacoma Public Schools may require a bid deposit.

PayMac handles all payments for Tacoma School District.

Acceptable forms of payment are: Wire Transfer or Credit Card.
NO CASH, CHECKS, OR MONEY ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED!

Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award.

A Buyers Premium of 10% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections.

All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.

The successful bidder will be responsible for pick-up of item(s) from the agency's premises. Pick-up must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award. The notice of award, payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at time of pick-up, or the item will not be released.

Tacoma Public Schools reserves the right to block bidders for any reason.
