Years a 2020 Dodge Ram 1500 Truck Cap Will Fi

For a 2020 Dodge Ram 1500, the truck cap (topper or camper shell) will generally fit all 4th generation Ram 1500 models from 2009 to 2020. This includes both 1500 and 2500/3500 models with the same bed length, as long as the bed dimensions and mounting points match DODGE RAM FORUM.

 

Why this range works

 
  • 4th generation (Gen IV): 2009–2020 Ram 1500s share the same bed rail design, tailgate curve, and overall dimensions for standard bed lengths aautomotives.com+1.
  • Model differences: The 1500, 2500, and 3500 share the same bed length options (short, standard, long) within the same generation, so a cap designed for a 2020 1500 will fit a 2020 2500 or 3500 with the same bed length DODGE RAM FORUM.
  • Exceptions: If you have a 5.7-foot bed (only on certain 2500/3500 models) or a dualie (two beds), the cap may not fit unless it’s specifically designed for those configurations DODGE RAM FORUM.
